Dear FPCA Friends:
After last Sunday’s snowy weather canceled worship and Sunday morning activities, we are so excited to gather again this Sunday, especially for a moment our children have been preparing for with so much joy and care.
You are invited to join us at the 11:00 a.m. English-language worship service for our Children’s Christmas Pageant, Starry Night, Noisy Night. After weeks of practice, our children are ready to tell the story of Jesus’ birth from a fresh and joyful perspective… as the animals! This pageant was originally scheduled for last Sunday, so we hope you’ll come out to support our children and families as they share their gifts with the congregation. You can read more about the pageant in Errika’s letter here.
The 8:45 a.m. English-language service will also take place as usual. I’ll be preaching on how God calls us forward, often with fear and courage walking hand-in-hand, drawing from Luke 1:26-38 and Jeremiah 1:4-10 as part of our Advent series What Do You Fear? If you’re hoping for a more traditional sermon-focused service, that is an option.
If you’re not able to attend both services, I especially encourage you to come at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate our children. And then listen to the sermon later in the week on YouTube or our podcast at a time that works for you.
We can’t wait to worship together and fill our church building with joy, courage, and holy noise this Advent season!
God’s Peace,

Pastor for Faith Formation
