Dear FPCA family,

Thank you for your patience and grace as I have been learning about snow management across our Lehigh Valley area and how that impacts whether or not we can hold in-person worship services on snowy Sunday mornings.  There has been a steep learning curve for me, and that has left us with some last-minute decisions.  For that I apologize.

That said, this weekend is looking like it might shape up to be a much easier decision with the significant snow event being predicted. We are watching the forecasts in case something changes, but at this point I anticipate that we will likely need to move our worship on-line this week.  Staff and musicians are already working together to provide a worship video for this weekend in case we need it.

This is a good time to remind you where to find church closure information. The two places that get updated immediately upon making a decision about closing for inclement weather are the WFMZ Stormcenter listing and the church’s Facebook account. We will never post an announcement ONLY on Facebook. Those posts only duplicate information that goes out in a way that is accessible to all church members and visitors. WFMZ is the best place to go for the most up to date information.

Churchwide emails and updates on the website are added as soon as possible, but these are not immediate sources of information because of the process it takes to make them public. Again, WFMZ is the best place to go.

Stay safe and stay warm this week!

Peace,

Pastor Stephanie Anthony
