February 19, 2026

Dear FPCA family,

This Sunday we will gather for one unified worship service that incorporates elements and leaders from all four of our usual Sunday services before the Annual Congregational meeting takes place. It is a blessing to get together a few times each year and share in Word, song, and prayer. Afterwards there will be a luncheon in Fellowship Hall where some of the Mission Teams of the church will have displays and information available about how to be engaged in their good work in the world.

This year in the season of Lent we will be invited to reflect on the different ways Jesus invites us to be a part of the good news in the world. What is central to Jesus’ life and ministry and how can we make those same things central in our life? We will start on Sunday by hearing the story of the first miracle Jesus performed when he was caught by surprise at the request of his mother that he “do something” about the wine that had run out at a wedding party. At first it may seem like a trivial way for him to begin using his divine powers in public, but is it? What does the miracle of turning water into wine tell us about Jesus and what is important to him? What does it tell us about how we are called to participate in his surprising work in the world?

I hope to see you on Sunday for worship, the congregational meeting, and lunch together afterward.  If you are unable to be here in person, please use the link that will be sent out tomorrow to access a private livestream of our meeting.

Peace,

Pastor Stephanie Anthony
