Throughout the planning for the upcoming Honduras Medical Mission, Dr. Mark Knouse has had a genuine excuse NOT to go on the mission. He has been struggling with his own serious health concerns. Yet, he’s determined. He will go on this mission if his health permits. In addition, he worked diligently to coordinate a residency rotation in Honduras enabling two residents through Lehigh Valley Hospital to join the mission team.
Why is Dr. Knouse so committed to this medical mission? In his own words, “I am going on the 2026 Honduras Medical Mission trip to give back to those less fortunate than us. Truly, I believe in the power of gratitude of service to others. Participating in a medical mission trip is a very enriching experience and helps us to grow as better individuals in God’s kingdom.”
