When a visiting medical mission team helps cure patients with chronic illness or wounds that have festered for years, it is life-changing!
Less obviously, yet impactful, the mission is also life-changing for members of the team.
One member of the Honduras Mission team, Jessica Benitez Garcia, realizes she has much to offer the patients, but will also learn through the experience, saying, “I am participating in the 2026 Honduras Medical Mission because serving others has always been fulling to me. As a nurse and future NP, I want to use my healthcare knowledge and Spanish to connect with individuals and provide care to underserved individuals. This experience will allow me to grow personally and professionally, and I plan to carry these lessons with me throughout my career.”

There are 20 individuals traveling – both medical and support personnel, including doctors, nurses, and medical, nursing, and physician’s assistant students.
