Following Jesus’ call to help the stranger, the members of the Honduras Medical Mission are donating their time and skills to help strangers who need access to medical care. Many mission members will take time off of work, or use vacation time just to be part of this team. They personally pay for much of their costs, including transportation, lodging and food. Why do they give these generous gifts of time, talent and treasure?
Dr. Anthony Buonanno shared his reason for joining the mission: “The Lord has blessed my family with much bounty. Time is a precious commodity to donate, as it cannot be purchased. I would like to further gain perspective while impacting people from a different culture. Anticipating this mission will have a positive effect, while giving help to others.”
You can follow Jesus’ call to help the stranger by supporting the team. Consider giving a micro-donation and be part of the home team!
