I was going to community college taking three courses to get my two-year degree. Also working two jobs, the first from 3 to 7 and the second from 7 to 11.
After a few months I was unable to keep it up. I went to the first and quit, then went to the second and was told our job was being moved to another plant and we were out of a job. Lost two jobs in one day!
But God works in mysterious ways. I found a job as busboy at a local hotel that also had a pool. When summer rolled around, the pool was opened. The restaurant was on the second floor looking over the pool. The lifeguard was a girl whom I was total smitten by. We dated, and three years later we married.
Had I not lost two jobs in one day I would have never met her. What for me was a horrible day turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. God moment for sure!
