Four Times?

Sharing the gift of time and talent is wonderful! Sharing the gifts by traveling to a remote medical clinic in a foreign country to treat the desperately ill is an amazing gift! To go there FOUR times is INCREDIBLE! Read why Afaf Khoury has shared her gifts of time and talent in Honduras over and over and over again and is leading the FPCA Honduras Medical Mission team in April 2026:

“This is my 4th Medical Mission to Honduras.

I still remember the first time a team was formed. I gave many reasons why I cannot go but finally I agreed. We set up clinic in a remote village and started seeing patients with all kinds of complaints. We saw more than 50 patients every day for 5 straight days. A 3-year little girl couldn’t walk for more than a month because she had a wound on the bottom of her foot, came back with her parents in 2 days and was walking. A young man almost lost his ear lobe due to infection after falling off a truck, returned in 3 days, infection was gone and his ear lobe was healing. I witnessed the joy of a 20-year-old girl, who never heard a sound in her life, hearing for the first time, thanks to an audiologist on the TEAM with donated hearing aids. For these stories and many many more I choose to return to Manos Amigas Clinic in Honduras.”

Manos Amigas clinic patient Jose gratefully smiles with FPCA Medical Mission team member, Afaf Khoury. Jose suffered with an undiagnosed infectious disease for many years. The painful sores continued to spread upwards on his legs until Afaf Khoury, and other FPCA medical mission team members, solved the mystery disease by placing a call to Lehigh Valley Hospital’s Dr. Mark Knouse, an infectious disease doctor. With God’s providence, the team had brought along the medicine needed to treat Jose. Within a few months of the FPCA medical mission, and with follow-up from the doctor at the clinic, Jose was cured!
