Dear FPCA family,
Following last week’s story foretelling the birth of John the Baptist, this week, on the 2nd Sunday of Advent, we jump ahead to a story from his adult life. Imprisoned by the second King Herod, John seems to be wondering if his life’s work was worth it. Is Jesus really who he says he is and is his going to do what John thinks he will? John can’t quite see how it’s all going to work out for good, if it’s going to work out for good, so he sends a message to Jesus – “Are you the one who is to come, or are we to wait for another?” Join in in worship (or get a sneak preview in Matthew 11:1-11) to see how Jesus answers and shows us how to live with hope for the coming peaceful kingdom.
Before we gather on Sunday, we have the wonderful opportunity to get together as a whole church family at our Advent for All event on Friday night. The Faith Formation Team has been working hard to provide this meaningful and fun opportunity to be together in this special season. Check out the announcement below for more information. We hope to see you there!
Peace,

Lead Pastor
