Dear FPCA Friends:
This Sunday, April 19, we welcome The Rev. Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim as our guest preacher in both English-language worship services and as our guest speaker for Adult Faith Formation from 9:50 to 10:50 a.m. in Room 115. We are grateful to our Compassion, Peace, and Justice Team for hosting Dr. Kim, just as they did last Sunday for Dr. Jimmie Hawkins. Dr. Kim is Professor of Theology at Earlham School of Religion and the author or editor of twenty-six books, including her newest, Earthbound: God at the Intersection of Climate and Justice. Many in our congregation will remember her from Fall 2024, when she joined us for an adult faith formation conversation on her book When God Became White. With Earth Day near, her time with us this Sunday will focus on ecological justice and caring for creation. I hope you will join us for worship and faith formation as we listen, learn, and reflect together.
I also hope you will mark your calendars for a fun church outing to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs game on Sunday, June 7, at 1:15 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park. This is a wonderful chance for our congregation to enjoy a summer afternoon together beyond the church walls, cheering, laughing, eating ballpark food, and enjoying one another’s company. Whether you are a big baseball fan or just in it for the fellowship, I hope you’ll come!
