Dear FPCA family,

This week as we dig into the disputes with God in Scripture, we’ll turn to the book of Psalms, the songbook of the ancient Israelites. The psalms of lament are full of people who take God to task in prayer for the ways that God seems to be failing to fulfill the promise of God’s faithfulness. Lament is an important, rich tradition that we sometimes forget is both an acceptable and faithful way of interacting with God. In our English worship services there will be time set aside for us to engage in prayers of lament this Sunday, time to bring our grievances and grieving to God. I am looking forward to sharing this time of sacred faith with each of you.

Peace,

Pastor Stephanie Anthony
Lead Pastor
