Dear FPCA family,
Labor Day weekend is here and for different people that means different things. For some, it signals the unofficial end of summer. For some, it means it’s time to go back to school. For some, it gives us one more long weekend to enjoy the shore or cabin or time with family and friends. While the roots of Labor Day are not specifically religious, the principles that brought it about align very closely with God’s own principles about just treatment of workers and the importance of the gift of rest. In worship this week we’ll take a little detour out of the lectionary to hear from the prophet Isaiah and the God’s own law about the importance of Sabbath and what it looks like to keep it holy. I hope you will join us in person or on-line wherever you are this Labor Day weekend.
Peace,

Lead Pastor
